Student FAQs

Q. Where can I get technical support?

A. A student can get technical help at the campus-provided Technology Solutions Center (TSC, previously the Student Helpdesk.)  The TSC provides walk-in, over the phone, and e-mail computer support for  students currently enrolled at Springfield College.

 

Q. How do I contact the Technology Solutions Center?

A. You can contact the TSC by dialing ext. 4TSC (4872) or 413-748-4TSC (4872) from off campus. You can also e-mail the TSC at tscrequest@spfldcol.edu.


Q. What hours is the Technology Solutions Center open?

A. The Technology Solutions Center is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Q. What kind of support do they provide?

A. TheTechnology Solutions Center provides help with virus/spyware problems, Internet connection problems, general computer questions, and software support. The student technical help desk will also help to troubleshoot Dell computer hardware problems.

 

Q. What information should I give when leaving a message or e-mailing the Technology Solutions Center?

A. Leave your full name, dorm name and room number, phone number, your computer's operation system [e.g. Windows Vista], a brief description of the problem, and when you will be available for a call back.

 

Q. Where is the Technology Solutions Center located?

A. The Reception Desk of the Technology Solutions Center is located on the main level of Babson Library as you walk in on the left.

 

Q. How do I register my gaming console?
